Psicólogo británico. Fue docente en la Universidad de Londres (
1924–50), siendo reconocido por su trabajo pionero en psicología educacional, especialmente en evaluación mental y análisis estadístico. Sus estudios sobre la
inteligencia humana lo convencieron de que esta era básicamente heredada. Una posterior inspección mostró que había inventado algunos datos, sin embargo, algunos de sus trabajos iniciales no se vieron afectados por esta revelación. Entre sus libros, que fueron muy difundidos y reeditados en Inglaterra, destacan
